How should I maintain the equipment in humid areas or after finishing a production batch?

Proper maintenance is crucial, especially in high-humidity regions (such as coastal areas) and after every single production batch. Fertilizer raw materials are highly corrosive and attract moisture. By following a simple routine, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your equipment.

1. Maintenance After Finishing Each Batch (Daily Routine):

  • Empty the System: Completely empty all hoppers, blenders, and screw conveyors after each batch. Do not leave residual fertilizer inside overnight.

  • Clean Contact Surfaces: Scrape off any caked fertilizer on the mixing blades and the inner walls. For humid climates, we recommend doing this immediately after shutdown.

  • Check for Clogging: Regularly inspect dust collection pipes, screens, and discharge gates for any damp powder that may cause blockages.

2. Special Maintenance for High-Humidity Areas:

  • Protect Precision Parts: Cover the weighing sensors, PLC cabinet, and touch screen to prevent moisture condensation. Use desiccant bags inside the control cabinet.

  • Lubricate Bearings and Chains: Use high-quality waterproof grease on rotating parts to prevent rust caused by humid air.

  • Inspect Anti-Corrosion Coating: Check the paint on contact surfaces every two weeks. If you see any scratches or rust, touch up the anti-corrosion paint immediately.

3. Long-Term Storage (Off-Season):
If you are stopping production for more than a week, thoroughly clean the whole plant, open the mixing chamber to let it dry, and power on the control cabinet for 1-2 hours every two weeks to keep the electronics dry.
