Fertilizers come in many types, such as compound fertilizer, blended fertilizer, bio-fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and water-soluble fertilizer. Today, we will focus on explaining blended fertilizer.
Blended fertilizer, also known as BB fertilizer or dry-mix fertilizer, is a type of fertilizer containing any two or three of the primary nutrient elements: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. It is produced by simply and mechanically mixing single-nutrient fertilizers or compound fertilizers as raw materials, with no significant chemical reactions occurring during the blending process.
The production technology for blended fertilizer is straightforward. Ideally, the blending operation and the fertilization application should be carried out on the same day. In such cases, the product's storage properties are not a major concern. However, in many countries, blended fertilizer needs to be packaged and stored for some time, making storage stability very important.
