Which kind of fertilizer keeps long-effective

There is no much relations between the length of fertilizer efficiency and brand, as long as the regular manufacturer produces fertilizer, the effect length is not very obvious. The difference may be different fertilizer types.

Take the most common three fertilizers for notrogen and phosphorus and potassium as an exmaple:

The effect of phosphate is much special and its seasonal efficiency is lower, but it can accumulate in soil, continue to release slowly, long-term provides nutrients for plants, thus applied in a long time. In the basal period, the disposable use can save manpower and combined with the characteristics of phosphate fertilizer, it can be for a long time and supply phosporus nutrients for crops constantly.

The second is potash fertilizer, its feature is fast but easy to loss with  the moisture leaching in the soil. When we apply the fertilizer, usually a basic fertilizer and fruit fertilizer are applied twice, which satisfy the vegetative growth and reproductive growth of plants.

Finally, nitrogen fertilizer. It can be divided into ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen. Ammonia nitrogen is more volatile and has a relatively short effect time compared to nitrate nitrogen. The nitrate nitrogen is more stable and the fertilizer effect lasted longer.

The popular water-soluble fertilizer and other new fertilizers are characterized by fast effect and higher utilization rate in recent years. The disadvantage is that the price is relatively high. To sum up, the length of fertilizer efficiency is not related with brand but to specific types of fertilizer.
